Ecommerce, Singapore
We design and build Shopify, WooCommerce and custom stores for Singapore brands. Mobile first, PayNow ready, and shaped around your catalogue, margins and fulfilment. Not a template with your logo on it.

The short answer
It is the craft of building an online store that matches how local customers actually buy. Mobile first browsing. Clear product pages. Payment options people already trust, including PayNow and cards. And a checkout that does not lose the sale halfway through.
For Singapore brands, design and development are not separate jobs. Catalogue structure, shipping rules, GST ready invoicing, SEO foundations and inventory or CRM integrations all shape what the store can do. Zimozi designs and builds Shopify, WooCommerce and custom stores so you can launch or rebuild with a practical scope.
Whether you need a focused landing catalogue or a multi channel storefront, we start from your inventory, your margins and your go to market plan.

Why theme only builds stall
Shoppers here compare prices fast, abandon slow pages without apology, and expect payment methods they already use. A theme on its own rarely fixes cart friction, fragmented stock data or weak organic discovery. Stores that win cover four layers together.
Collections, hierarchy and imagery that make the right products impossible to miss.
Product, cart and checkout flows designed on a phone first, then scaled up to desktop.
Stock, pricing, payments and integrations that hold up on a campaign day.
Analytics events that tell you exactly where the funnel leaks, so you can fix it.
Zimozi is a Singapore based technology company with 8+ years and 100+ projects behind the work. We welcome real project sizes, from a lean first store to a complex custom platform. Any budget: we will suggest a practical starting point. Dedicated engineering from around USD 30 per hour may be available where a retained build fits. That is accessible specialist capacity, not bargain outsourcing.
Platform choice
Choosing a platform early prevents expensive rework. Use this as a decision frame. We refine it with you in discovery.
Best when you want a managed commerce core, a deep app ecosystem and speed to market for a D2C or retail brand. Strong for standard catalogues, campaigns and multi market tests.
We handle theme customisation, checkout UX, payment apps and integrations so the store feels like your brand, not default Shopify.
Best when you already run WordPress, want content and commerce blended, or want more control over hosting and plugins. Ideal for content led brands.
We design the storefront, harden performance, and wire payments, shipping and CRM carefully so plugin sprawl does not become the product.
Best when catalogue rules, B2B pricing, marketplace logic or operations do not fit packaged platforms cleanly. Custom protects unique commerce logic and integrates tightly with ERP or internal tools.
It costs more up front, so we scope an MVP storefront first and ship value before you over build.
Not sure yet? Bring your SKU count, average order value, fulfilment model and must have integrations. We recommend a platform after discovery, never before we understand the business.

Payments, shipping, trust
Singapore buyers notice payment familiarity. In practice that means PayNow and QR friendly flows, card gateways such as Stripe, and merchant friendly aggregators such as HitPay where they suit your stack. Add clear shipping timelines, plain returns language and an obvious way to reach a human.
Design work should make all of that visible on mobile without crowding the buy button.
We also plan for GST aware invoicing, order status messaging and analytics events that show where the funnel breaks. Secure hosting, sensible access control and PDPA aware handling of customer data are part of a serious build, not a footnote.
Many SMEs look at Productivity Solutions Grant or Enterprise Development Grant co funding when digitising sales. We can scope a practical build either way. We do not claim grant approval or vendor status unless that is separately verified for your package. Treat Enterprise Singapore guidance as the source of truth on eligibility.
Scope of work
Rescue work welcome
Plenty of our ecommerce work starts as a rescue. Slow pages. A checkout that leaks. Payments wired badly. An agency build that stopped halfway.
We assess what to keep, what to rewrite and what to retire, then give you a phased plan with a clear first release. You do not have to start again from zero to get a store that performs.
How it runs
Requirements, platform lean, constraints and timeline.
Phased milestones with a clear, shippable first release.
Weekly demos so stakeholders see progress early, not at the end.
Payments, fulfilment rules, analytics and the awkward edge cases.
Stabilise, then iterate on conversion and catalogue operations.
Honest proof
Ecommerce is commerce systems work: catalogues, identity, payments, notifications and reliable backends. Here is public product work where we did exactly that.
iOS, Android and web, with payments and maps integrations running through one product.
Smart home security backend built for the ELLO team's MVP. We built the backend, not the whole company.
A real time voice and text assistant with retrieval, document intelligence and session memory. Useful groundwork for modern commerce operations.
Who we build for
Retail and lifestyle brands, electronics and accessories, marketplace style catalogues, and B2B order portals with account based pricing.
The challenges differ. Fashion needs merchandising consistency. Electronics needs logistics and ERP sync. Startups often need a credible first store before a fundraising demo. We size the first release to the problem, not to a feature wish list.

FAQ
Cost moves with platform, catalogue complexity, integrations and whether you need a theme level build or custom logic. We welcome real project sizes and will suggest a practical starting point for any budget after a short discovery call, rather than forcing a package that does not fit.
Yes. Shopify for brands that want managed commerce speed, WooCommerce for WordPress centred teams, and custom ecommerce when packaged platforms cannot express your rules. We recommend the stack after we understand your catalogue and operations.
Yes. We plan checkout around local expectations: PayNow capable flows, card gateways such as Stripe, and options like HitPay where they suit the platform. Customers see familiar, low friction payment choices on mobile and desktop.
Yes. Under a standard client agreement you own the IP for the work product we create for you. We are NDA friendly and can work inside your existing vendor or brand guidelines.
Yes. Many engagements start as rescues: performance fixes, checkout redesign, payment rewiring, or migration away from a struggling theme or a half finished build. We assess what to keep, what to rewrite and what to retire.
We build SEO ready foundations: information architecture, indexable product and category templates, technical performance and analytics. Ongoing content marketing can be scoped separately. The store itself should not fight search engines from day one.
Bring your catalogue realities and your growth target. You will get a practical first scope, a weekly demo rhythm and clear ownership of the IP. No need to force a large budget to start the conversation.
